The annual Membership Roster is printedd every October and is available at the monthly meetings at the Membership table.
Each monthly general meeting has a featured Guest Speaker or a special event. A special activity or a sew day may follow a morning meeting. Workshops take place on the Thursday following a meeting.
The PQG Gazette is published monthly and contains a wealth of information. It's our primary means of communications, along with announcements at meetings. The Gazette can be viewed and downloaded from our website https://www.peninsulaquilters.org.
Website
The website is another resource for members and the community. It includes descriptions of up-coming events and meetings, photos of Guild activities and other important information.
Social Media
Stay up to date with events and member projects by following us on social media. Facebook: PQG What's Under Your Needle and Instagram: Peninsula Quilters Guild.
Bees are smaller groups that usually meet monthly.
All members are welcome to attend the PQG Virtual Meetings scheduled for 10 a.m. on the first Wednesday of the month.
Donation Quilts - Members make and donate finished twin size quilts to LifeMoves and small baby quilts to San Mateo Health Foundaton's "Bundle of Joy" program.
A PQ outreach/educational and fund-raising activity, each year members create a special quilt that is displayed at various venues to promote our purpose, then raffled off in June.
Members participate in the fair by showing their quilts, interacting with attendees, showing and selling raffle tickets for the annual Opportunity Quilt made by PQG members.
Retreats
Virtual retreats are generally held over a weekend in the spring and fall. In person retreats have been occurring in the spring.
Spring and Fall challenges are optional but fun with prizes awarded for the best submissions in the April and September meetings. Challenge pieces can be entered in the appropriate challenge category in the San Mateo County Fair every June.
Raffle Baskets
Look for opportunities to obtain more wonderful books, patterns and fabric at our meetings. Periodically we have auctions and sales that are announced in advance.
